Sojern was recently voted one of the Best Places to Work in Omaha.
Founded in Omaha in 2007, Sojern was recently voted one of the Best Places to Work in Omaha. Located in the “Silicon Prairie”, the number of Sojern employees has quickly grown to over 450, with almost one third working out of our two offices in Omaha. To be voted as one of the best places to work as we continue to grow is truly an honor and something we are really proud of.
In our Omaha offices, Accounting, Ad Operations, Marketing, Product, Sales and more fill our two offices, located a mile apart from each other. With so much growth, we want to ensure we don’t lose the culture that made us such a fun place to work for in the first place.
So, all Omaha Sojernistas will be happily reunited under one roof by the end of 2018. We are also dedicated to doing team-building and learning opportunities for our employees, including seasonal happy hours, lunch and learns, Sojern Gives Back events, and an employee favorite here in Omaha—an annual sand volleyball tournament.
Receiving the Best Places to Work recognition is great, but we don't stop there. We conduct an employee engagement survey quarterly to keep a regular pulse on how everyone is feeling about the company, company growth, thoughts on leadership, their teams, and an opportunity to leave open feedback. All of the responses are reviewed by the leadership team, and then passed on to each manager so that we can maintain employee engagement throughout the year. Something that we believe plays a huge role in our Omaha office morale is the endless opportunities to grow at Sojern.
Brent Brummer, Sojern’s VP Business Strategy & Operations, says, “Leadership at Sojern is very committed to growing employees. Our development programs feed our hiring needs. We promote employees into management roles. And we really like when employees move around to new teams to expose them to new areas of our business and spread ideas around the company.”
We’re looking to hire even more Sojernistas in 2018—130 to be exact, with approximately 30% located in Omaha. Looking to start a career in travel marketing? Contact us today!
