SAN FRANCISCO, March 15, 2016 — Sojern , the travel industry’s data-driven performance marketing engine, today announced it achieved yet another year of transformational financial and operational growth. The company ended 2015 with four consecutive months of profitability driven by a breakout year from its flagship product, the Sojern Traveler Platform, which has averaged 150% revenue growth since its launch in 2011. The company added 40 new employees – including three key management appointments – and opened offices in Dubai and Singapore to support more than 800 global customers. This resulted in Sojern being recognized as the fastest growing travel technology company for the third consecutive year by Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500™.
To help manage – and augment – this explosive growth, Sojern appointed three senior industry leaders in Mat Harris, Vice President of Product Enterprise Solutions, Jim Brigden, EMEA Managing Director, and Russell Young, APAC Managing Director.
With the growing influence of mobile devices – and the ease of looking and booking travel on them – Sojern sought out an expert to drive its mobile and cross-device efforts. Harris is that mobile veteran, having led product teams at both Tapjoy and InMobi, and also brings deep expertise in dynamic personalization. “It is a remarkable thing to be able to join Sojern in the midst of such spectacular cumulative growth and performance,” said Harris. “My job is going to be building out our world class product team, focusing our product objectives around key strategic moves and identifying opportunities to be truly innovative, particularly in mobile. We will continue to find additional ways to leverage our treasure trove of traveler profile data to deliver excellent results for our customers and achieve great things as a company.”
Based in London, Jim Brigden has scaled several businesses, leading many through successful exits in the digital space. Brigden brings extensive executive experience, having served as the CEO of I Spy Marketing and The Search Works and, most recently, as Chief Client and Commercial Officer at iProspect. At Sojern, Brigden will be leading the effort to expand the company’s footprint in Europe and the Middle East. “Sojern’s technology is leading the industry and helping the biggest brands in travel run the most sophisticated digital marketing campaigns,” comments Brigden. “Data-driven advertising has become a key part of a marketer’s customer acquisition strategy and I’m extremely excited to join the company. I look forward to building on Sojern’s success and accelerating the growth across EMEA by showcasing the value its solutions can deliver to the market.”
And to manage its APAC region, Sojern recently appointed Russell Young – formerly Commercial Director for EMEA and APAC – to Managing Director, APAC. Young relocated to Singapore at the conclusion of 2015 and is in the midst of building out the infrastructure for Sojern’s fastest growing regional office.
With these appointments, Sojern is poised to continue its growth trajectory into ‘16 – and beyond – by driving new customer adoption, high retention, and same-store sales growth via innovative, ROI+ digital products for the travel industry.
